Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 2026
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how POD Prompt Builder (“we”, “us”) handles your information when you use POD Prompt Builder, POD Prompt Builder Studio, our websites and blog, and our mobile app (together, the “Service”). It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
2. Information we collect
- Account details: your email address, your name if you give one, your plan or licence status, and your password, which we store only as a one-way hash so nobody, including us, can read it.
- Sign-up and abuse-prevention details: when you start a free trial we record your email address, the IP address and browser type you used, and the time. We also keep a standardised form of your email address and a record of sign-up attempts. We use this only to prevent repeat free trials and abuse of the Service.
- How you found us and how you use the Service: we record, in our own database, which link or website brought you to us (for example a search engine or a tagged link) and the main steps you take, such as signing up, verifying your email, logging in, finishing the welcome tour, saving a first prompt, creating products, subscribing, cancelling or being refunded. We use this only to understand which sources bring customers and where people get stuck. It is not shared with advertisers and we do not store your IP address for it.
- Your content: the designs and images you upload or send to your Library, folders and tags, listing text, products, colors, sizes, prices and mockups you create.
- Connected accounts: if you connect Printify, Shopify or WooCommerce, we store the keys or access tokens you authorise, in encrypted form, and the store address.
- Payment details: subscriptions are paid through PayPal. We receive your PayPal email address, subscription reference, payment status and the amounts paid. We never see or store your card or bank details.
- Mobile app: if you use our mobile app, we record a hashed identifier for your device and when it was last active, so we can keep your login secure.
- Technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages and features you use, collected in server logs and through the services described in section 4.
- Messages: anything you send us, for example to support.
3. How we use your information
- to provide the Service: run your account, process your designs, create mockups, and send draft products to the stores you connect;
- to take payments, manage your subscription and send account emails such as verification and password messages;
- to protect the Service, prevent repeat free trials and detect fraud or abuse;
- to give support and to fix and improve the Service;
- to meet our legal obligations.
4. Cookies, browser storage and analytics
- Essential cookies: we use a login cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, and a security value during checkout. The Service does not work without them.
- Our own source cookies: when you visit our home page we set two first-party cookies: a random visitor code (kept up to 180 days) and a note of the first link you arrived through (kept 30 days). They let us connect a visit with a later sign-up and are never used to track you on other websites.
- Saved in your browser: some of your work and settings, such as items in “View compiled items”, folder names and display preferences, are stored in your own browser. Clearing your browser data removes them.
- Analytics: our home page uses Google Analytics to measure visits, and our blog uses Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors use pages (for example clicks and scrolling) to help us improve them.
- Security: Cloudflare protects and speeds up our websites and may set cookies for that purpose. We may also use a bot-protection check (such as Cloudflare Turnstile) on sign-up.
- Third-party resources: our pages load fonts, icons and code from services such as Google Fonts, unpkg and Tailwind. Your browser contacts them directly, so they can see your IP address.
You can control cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop you from logging in.
5. Who we share information with
We share information only with providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed:
- Hosting and network: Hostinger (our servers) and Cloudflare (network protection, content delivery, and file hosting where described below).
- Payments: PayPal.
- Email delivery: Resend, which delivers our account emails.
- Analytics: Google (Analytics) and Microsoft (Clarity).
- Your own accounts: Printify, Shopify and WooCommerce, when you connect them and ask us to create or update products. We send them your designs, mockups and listing text, so their terms and privacy policies also apply.
- Legal and safety: authorities or advisers where the law requires it, or to protect our rights and users.
- Business changes: a successor, if the Service is ever sold or merged, who would be bound by this policy.
Public image links. When you publish to a real store, your design and mockup images are copied to an unguessable public web address so Printify and your store can fetch them. Anyone who has that link can view the image. During a free trial, nothing is published or sent to public hosting.
6. AI image tools
We do not generate your images. When you copy a prompt into a third-party AI tool, or open one from the Service, you share that prompt with that tool directly, under its own terms and privacy policy.
7. Images and background removal
Background removal runs in your own browser in most cases. If your browser cannot run it, or you choose to reprocess on our server, the image is sent to our server, processed, and then deleted automatically within 7 days.
8. Free trial
During the free trial, POD Prompt Builder Studio works with simulated test stores. Nothing is created in any real Printify, Shopify or WooCommerce account. When you subscribe, the test products are removed, and your Library designs, folders and tags are kept.
9. How long we keep information
- Account and content data: for as long as your account exists, and for a reasonable period afterwards.
- Sign-up records used to prevent repeat trials: for as long as that purpose requires.
- Payment records: as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal reasons.
- Images processed on our server as a fallback: up to 7 days.
- Visit and usage-step records described in section 2: for up to 24 months, then deleted or made anonymous.
- Backups: kept for a limited time and then overwritten.
When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information, except what we must keep for legal or abuse-prevention reasons.
10. Security
We use HTTPS, store passwords only as hashes, encrypt the keys and tokens for your connected accounts, and limit who can access our systems. No online service is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused.
11. Your choices and rights
You can see and change your account details, disconnect Printify, Shopify or WooCommerce at any time (which removes the stored credentials), and cancel your subscription in PayPal. Depending on where you live, for example in the EU or UK, California or South Africa, you may also have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. To use any of these rights, email [email protected].
12. International use
Our providers operate in several countries, including the United States. By using the Service you understand that your information may be processed outside the country where you live.
13. Children
The Service is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Pinterest
This application uses the Pinterest API only to publish content that has been explicitly created and approved by the account owner. We do not collect Pinterest user data for resale, advertising, profiling, or third-party distribution. Authentication tokens are used only to connect the approved Pinterest account and publish approved content through automation workflows. Any content published through this system is created or approved by the account owner before posting.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a significant change, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you by email.
